Minister of Industries SB Dissanayake says the shortage of gas, and fuel, and power disruptions will be solved within the next two to three days.
Addressing media after yesterday’s Cabinet of Ministers discussion, the Minister said in comparison to the price increases in the world market, Sri Lanka is in a favourable position.
Minister Dissanayake claimed although the usual daily consumption of fuel is about 4,500MT, at present it has exceeded 8,000MT due to the public pumping full tanks and filling jerry cans and barrels.
He added fuel, gas, and electricity issues will not arise in the future and will be brought to an end in the near future.
