Trade unionist Ananda Palitha charges that staff have not been allocated to unload the fuel shipment that is due to reach Sri Lanka in the near future and for other related activities.
Palitha speaking to media yesterday said the fuel crisis will worsen in the days ahead.
He said the shipment has been delayed while staff have not been prepared either to accept the 38,000MT shipment of fuel.
Palitha said the shipment is expected to last only seven days adding that four shipments are required monthly.
He added according to the Minister of Energy a diesel shipment was expected yesterday, yet charged that no orders were placed for the shipment.
