Four individuals who illegally stored fuel without a valid license have been arrested in Kandaketiya.
Raids were carried out in five locations that were reportedly selling fuel illegally.
332 litres of diesel, 53 litres of petrol, and 237 litres of kerosene oil was seized.
The suspects between the ages of 37 and 47 are residents of Kandaketiya and Pudalu Oya.
The four suspects have been informed to appear before the Badulla Magistrate’s Court on the 29th of June after being released on Police bail.
Investigations are underway to arrest another individual who fled the area during raids.
