Four individuals loitering adjacent to the statue of SWRD Bandaranaike in Galle Face in violation of Court orders have been arrested this morning.
The four persons have been escorted to the Colombo Fort Police Station to record statements.
On the 20th of July, Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage issued an injunction order preventing any party from entering a 50 metres radius of the Bandaranaike memorial.
The order was issued considering a request made by the Fort Police Station over a tip off received of efforts to damage the statue.
