A four-member expert committee has been appointed to examine the laboratory reports on samples obtained to test the composition of domestic LP gas cylinders.
The committee consists of two lecturers and two professors.
When contacted by NewsRadio Prof. Shantha Walpolage of the University of Moratuwa confirmed the appointment of the committee.
Explosions related to gas leaks were reported in several parts of the island recently with two incidents reported today.
The Consumer Affairs Authority has obtained gas samples from several districts and directed them to laboratories and obtained reports.
The four-member expert committee was appointed to further deliberate the reports.
