The Samagi Jana Balawegaya has urged the government to implement the recommendations cited in Subodini committee report expeditiously, instead of using government politicians to slander and harass teachers.
Speaking at a media briefing today, MP Mujibur Rahuman said the present government is continuously highlighting that it is not a problem-solving government.
Commenting on the government distancing itself from responsibilities amidst the skyrocketing cost of living, MP Rahuman said all decisions are reached by a trade mafia.
He said the government has turned a blind eye towards the actions of this mafia. The Parliamentarian questioned the purpose of the present administration under such circumstances.
MP Rahuman said there are two governments in the country, one led by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa that issues weekly Cabinet decisions and the other led by a trade mafia that determines prices of goods.
He said the government that was voted in to power by the public, is now acting according to a trade mafia.
