A 15,000MT consignment of essentials donated by the people of India, has arrived at the Colombo Port.
The High Commission of India in Sri Lanka said the consignment includes essential items such as rice, milk powder and essential medicines.
The donation is worth Rs.3 billion.
The Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, Parliamentarians and other dignitaries were present at the port to accept this timely donation from India.
The High Commission of India in Sri Lanka revealed that more aid packages will follow in future.
