Parliamentarian Duminda Dissanayake says the short-sighted decisions taken by the President related to farmers have affected the entire country at present.
Speaking in Parliament, MP Dissanayake said the country and farmers alike are suffering today, while the people don’t have sufficient food for consumption.
MP Dissanayake charged that the President has now claimed that he is not prepared to leave as a failed leader, and questioned if the President should be allowed to continue making wrong decisions.
MP Dissanayake said the change that the public sought cannot be achieved through the President and Prime Minister, adding that the people want a system change.
He noted that at a time that such demands are being made, the most must be made of such opportunities.
