Minister Dullas Alahapperuma says the government’s ability to serve justice to the public sector despite the massive economic crisis is a major achievement.
The Minister said the President should be pleased that appointments are being granted to graduates at a time when the world is battling the coronavirus pandemic.
Minister Alahapperuma speaking at an event in Kamburupitiya yesterday said the state sector is not a burden to the country and is in the forefront.
The Minister said when questioned on Sri Lanka’s development said two institutions are blamed, the entire political authority and the state services.
Minister Alahapperuma said the charges mostly claim that Sri Lanka is behind in development and that countries that gained independence after Sri Lanka such as Singapore, Malaysia, and Bangladesh have greatly progressed.
The Minister also stated that Sri Lanka obtained a loan of USD 200 million from Bangladesh, as its a fast growing economy.
