Minister of Education Dinesh Gunawardena says he requested relevant sectors to refrain from imposing power cuts during the time period in which the GCE Advanced Level Examination will be held.

The Education Minister said the A/Level Exam will be held from the 7th of February till the 5th of March, as planned, adding there is no need to make any changes.

Speaking during an opening ceremony in Godagama Minister Gunawardena said all preparations are in place to conduct the exam.

The Education Minister noted Commissioner General of Examinations LMD Dharmasena is acting as an independent commissioner, and holding discussions with the Ministry of Education.

The Minister stated the exam was due to be held last November adding it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
