The Lawyers for Democracy organisation has informed the public to not be afraid to express their views on social media.
Chief Secretary attorney Lal Wijenayake speaking to NewsRadio said comments on social media are not restricted under the provisions of the Gazette Notification issued by the President declaring a State of Emergency.
He said no laws have been drafted in Sri Lanka to limit freedom of expression on social media during a State of Emergency in the country.
