Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa says Diwali is a celebration of the victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance attained by persistent spirituality, great devotion and faith.
Issuing a message to mark the Diwali festival, Prime Minister Rajapaksa said as illuminated lamps expel the darkness, people should dispel the ignorance within us and unfold the mindfulness.
