State Minister Dilum Amunugama says the government should also take responsibility for the issues that arose due to the change in the composition of LP gas cylinders in addition to the Chairman of Litro Gas.
Speaking to media in Kandy, State Minister Amunugama said that if the prevailing issues cannot be rectified, a new gas company should be set up with the intervention of the government to import LP gas.
The State Minister noted that the government is facing issues since there are no alternatives at present.
He said there are several matters including business interests contributed to the Litro Gas cylinder issue.
State Minister Amunugama added that the government cannot shun its responsibilities and stressed that compensation must be paid to the victims.
