Foreign Minister GL Peiris says regardless of the difference of opinions within the government, collective decisions must be reached.
Speaking to media in Kandy today, the Minister said as a government one policy must be followed collectively, adding that the government must hold open discussions internally.
While acknowledging that not everyone would be of the same view, Minister Peiris said all members at times would not be 100 percent pleased.
The Minister added issues within a home should not be taken outside while issues outside a home should not be brought in.
Therefore, he claimed all concerns must be openly discussed, and stated that the country has had to face much graver issues in the past.
The Minister added having to face problems is a natural occurrence claiming that there is no government that has not had to face issues and challenges.
However, he said the most important factor is to not be phased by such problems.
