Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena has handed over appointment letters to the Deputy and Assistant Government Whips.
Accordingly, Parliamentarians Sagara Kariyawasam and Jayantha Ketagoda were appointed Deputy Government Whips and while MPs Kokila Gunawardena, Madhura Withanage, and Thisakutti Arachchi were appointed Assistant Government whips.
The letters of appointment were handed over at the Prime Minister’s office in Parliament yesterday.
Leader of the House Minister Susil Premajayantha, Chief Government Whip Minister Prasanna Ranatunga, Secretary to the Chief Government Whip and Additional Secretary to the President Chaminda Kularatne, Secretary to the Leader of the House and Additional Secretary to the Prime Minister Harsha Wijewardana were present at the occasion.
