General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara says all party members did not vote for Presidential candidate Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Parliamentarian Dullas Alahapperuma.
MP Jayasekara speaking to media following today’s vote to elect a new President said the SLFP reached a decision to support MP Alahapperuma.
He however said everyone part of the SLFP did not vote for MP Alahapperuma.
MP Jayasekara said discussions will be held within the Central Committee to determine if disciplinary action will be taken against these members.
He said the SLFP will not accept any Ministerial posts under the new government and will execute the party’s programme.
