The three-day protest march organised by the National People’s Power under the theme ‘Pannamu’ will resume from Wadduwa today.
The protest march commenced from Beruwala last morning. The march has been organised in support of the demonstration at Galle Face demanding the resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
The NPP members will march from Wadduwa to Moratuwa today.
The group will continue its protest march from Moratuwa to Galle Face and join the demonstration at the Agitation Site opposite the Presidential Secretariat tomorrow.
Speaking to NewsRadio, NPP Parliamentarian Harini Amarasuriya said they received massive public support on Day one of the protest march.
She said they are holding the demonstration in a bid to overthrow the government and appoint a new administration that is capable of providing relief to the people.
MP Amarasuriya said they will continue to protest until the appointment of a new people-friendly government.
