The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has limited the supply of fuel for vehicles as of 1pm today (15) for a period of two weeks.
The CPC issuing a statement said motorbikes will be issued Rs.1,000 of fuel per pump, three-wheelers Rs.1,500, and cars, vans, and SUVs Rs.5,000.
However, the CPC informed that a fuel limit will not be imposed on buses, lorries and other commercial vehicles that require diesel.
The CPC said filling stations must maintain a document of information on vehicles when issuing fuel.
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation also stated that the decision to suspend the issuance of fuel to barrels, jerry cans, and other plastic canisters will be extended until further notice.
