The Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court has issued an order preventing participants of a protest march organised today (4) in Colombo, Fort from entering several roads.
The order was issued following a request made by the Officer in Charge of the Fort Police yesterday.
The order has been issued to Rathidu Senaratne alias Ratta, and five others.
Accordingly, they have been prevented from entering the NSA Roundabout to Chaithya Road, NSA Roundabout to Janadhipathi Mawatha, Ceramic Junction to York Street, Layden Bastian Road, Mudalige Mawatha, Hospital Street, Bank Street, Baron Jayathilaka Mawatha, Chatham Street, and Canal Road.
The Fort Magistrate issued the order preventing the group from entering these roads, disrupting the public travelling in vehicles, and walking on pavements, under provisions of the Criminal Code.
The Police was informed to put up copies of the Court order on display.
