The Sri Lanka Freedom Party says the country’s future will be brighter if the people’s struggle at Galle Face remains neutral.

Speaking to media in Anuradhapura the National Organiser of the SLFP MP Duminda Dissanayake said certain political parties are now attempting to make the struggle their own.

MP Dissanayake said protesters at Galle Face are calling for something positive for the sake of the country, and are not divided by politics.

He said there have been many instances of politicians deceiving and lying to the public.

However, the MP noted that such individuals were elected as President’s and governments by the public, yet today the public are demanding a change.

Dissanayake however said that today the public, from a neutral point of view, is calling for what’s best for the country and called on all parties to support the peoples struggle in order to bring about justice.
