Parliamentarian Patali Champika Ranawaka says the country’s course without a clear plan must be amended.
The MP said it is essential to form an all-party government, explain matters to the public, and lead the country collectively to alternative measures.
Speaking at a media briefing yesterday, MP Ranawaka said politicians must lead by example in this regard.
He noted that instead of consoling all individuals, the government must maintain all essential aspects and move forward.
MP Ranawaka added the country is heading towards a dangerous stage, especially economically, and socially adding the tension could spill over in the days ahead.
The Parliamentarian called for the introduction of a clear plan and programme to avert such a situation and called for the appointment of an all-party government.
MP Ranawaka said the majority of the country is at a standstill, and dysfunctional, adding that there is a risk of the country coming to a complete standstill if there is no due leadership and direction.
He reiterated that the President must step down adding that it is the Prime Minister’s responsibility to work towards forming an all-party government.
