Parliamentarian Patali Champika Ranawaka says the government has repeatedly proven its inability to solve the prevalent power and fuel crisis in the country.
Speaking to media today, MP Ranawaka said all sectors of the country have been gravely affected by the actions of the government.
He said the government has failed to understand the ground reality and is instead disrupting the daily power and fuel supply and is continuing to increase prices.
MP Ranawaka claimed the next fuel shipment is due to arrive in Sri Lanka on the 3rd of March, and questioned if the government has funds for the shipment.
He charged that the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka tabled a six month roadmap while there has been no discussion of its implementation at present.
The Parliamentarian also accused the government of disregarding all concerns in the country and continuing with the 100,000km roads construction programme and the ‘10,000 Project’ rural development programme.
He claimed the country is in a sorry state.
