A coordinating secretary of former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has been remanded over the unrest and violence reported on the 9th of May.
The coordinating secretary was remanded till the 8th of June over the unrest opposite Temple Trees and at Galle Face.
The 53 year old, resident of Tangalle, was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department in Colombo today.
He was produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court today and was remanded till Wednesday in order to produce at an identification parade.
