The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption says the decision on whether bribery related cases filed against Minister Johnston Fernando and several others in relation to Sathosa will be continued will be announced on the 3rd of December.
The decision was announced when the cases were taken up for hearing before Colombo Chief Magistrate Buddhika Ragala this morning.
The Bribery Commission filed five cases against the Minister and several others over discrepancies reported at Sathosa during Johnston Fernando’s term as Minister of Trade during the tenure of the United People’s Freedom Alliance led government.
He has been acquitted over three cases thus far.
Accordingly, the decision pertaining to the other two cases will be announced on the 3rd of December.
