The Colombo Additional Magistrate’s Court today ordered the Officer in Charge of the Colpetty Police to appear before Court on the 9th of May.

The order was issued by Colombo Additional Magistrate Manjula Ratnayake. The OIC was summoned to inquire into the failure to carry out a Court order to remove Police buses that were parked outside the Temple Trees.

Meanwhile, Court today ordered the removal of structures set up by protesters outside Temple Trees in a manner that inconveniences the public.

However, the order issued by Additional Magistrate Manjula Ratnayake stated the order does not apply to peaceful protests that don’t hinder the public.
