The Centre for Monitoring Election Violence says they do not approve certain political parties using the time allocated within the Budget debate, to hash out internal issues in politics.
Speaking to NewsRadio National Co-ordinator of the CMEV Manjula Gajanayake said, a debate on the expenditure heads of the government for the upcoming year is not conducted due to politicians discussing unrelated issues.
He said the discussions that have take place indicates that this Parliament was on of the weakest that was formed in the last decade.
Gajanayake said personal grudges between politicians are being discussed, in order to conceal the inefficiencies of the government Budget.
Gajanayake expressed his regret over personal issues being given priority over discussion of short and long-term solutions to the present economic crisis.
