The church worker who was apprehended and detained following the discovery of a hand grenade in the premises of the All Saints Church in Borella has been released.
The individual is the seventh suspect in the case.
During today’s hearing, officials attached to the Colombo Crimes Division informed court that they do not have adequate evidence against the suspect to detain him.
Accordingly, Colombo Additional Magistrate Rajindra Jayasuriya ordered to release the suspect from custody.
Court previously released three suspects who were arrested on suspicion over a hand grenade being found in the premises of the All Saints Church in Borella.
