The Sri Lanka Freedom Party says a number of changes in Parliament can be expected in the days ahead.

Addressing media after a meeting with the Speaker of the House the MP said a decision regarding participation at a meeting with the President tomorrow will be taken during a meeting of the group of 11 Parliamentarians scheduled to be held today.

Responding to a question posed by a journalist regarding Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa’s recent comments; the MP said he is of the belief that an interim government should comprise of representatives of all parties.

He stated a decision has not been made regarding whether the SLFP will demand the resignation of Prime Minister Rajapaksa from his post.

When inquired over the parties preferred appointment for the post of Prime Minister, the MP said no decision regarding the matter has been arrived at yet.

The MP added no member of the SLFP will leave the party if offered ministerial posts in the future adding that the SLFP will remain united.
