The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka has declined to approve a seven-hour power cut for tomorrow.
The Ceylon Electricity Board has requested permission to impose over seven hour power cuts tomorrow.
PUCSL Chairman Janaka Ratnayake said however the request has been denied and the CEB has been directed to reduce the power cut duration to below five hours.
The PUCSL has also directed the CEB to impose tomorrow’s power cuts over two time slots for consumer convenience.
