The government says it has several concerns regarding the company which is in-charge of storing and managing data of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority.
Co-Cabinet Spokesman Minister Ramesh Pathirana said the company received the tender in 2018; however it does not have a stringent input-output data mechanism.
Minister Pathirana said although they have entered nearly 5,000 data files, there is no output mechanism or an ability to review them.
The Minister said the company has a responsibility to retrieve the missing data and they have already appointed experts for the matter.
He said they are confident of retrieving all data that were reported missing from the National Medicines Regulatory Authority’s storage terminal.
