Australian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka David Holly says his country will support Sri Lanka’s economic, social, and maritime development.
The Australian High Commissioner called on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa this afternoon at the President’s House in Colombo, Fort.
David Holly mentioned that Australia is well aware of the economic hardships Sri Lanka is facing.
The President’s Media Division issuing a statement said the highest amount of humanitarian aid given to Sri Lanka by a single nation, which included $50 million, was donated by Australia.
The Australian High Commissioner noted Australia will continue to support Sri Lanka in other sectors of the economy as well.
David Holley added that today’s talks focused on further creating awareness and preventing illegal immigration while paying special attention to the promotion of Australian investments.
