The National People’s Power claims that all measures taken by the present administration to resolve the fuel crisis have failed.
Speaking during a public gathering, NPP Leader Parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayake said instead of procuring more fuel stocks to address the shortage, the government is seeking to resolve the distribution mechanism.
He said first the government announced that it will register the vehicle owners and then it mentioned of an app to streamline the distribution mechanism.
MP Dissanayake added that an announcement was also made to provide fuel to essential workers on priority basis which did not materialise.
The NPP Leader noted that now the government has announced that it will introduce a token system to reduce queues at filling stations.
Anura Kumara Dissanayake said it is humorous that the government’s answer to the present fuel shortage is a token system.
He said the present administration is unable to resolve the issues faced by the people and therefore it should be thrown out.
