State Minister of Rural Roads and other Infrastructure Nimal Lanza says he has resigned from his Ministerial portfolio.
When inquired by NewsRadio, Parliamentarian Nimal Lanza said the letter of resignation has been directed to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
However, he declined to comment on the reason behind his resignation. Former Ministers Wimal Weerawansa and Udaya Gammanpila and State Ministers Susil Premajayantha and Jayantha Samaraweera also resigned during the past few weeks.
MP Lanza meanwhile handed over a detailed report to the President recently, over the controversy surrounding him and State Minister Sanath Nishantha.
Co-Cabinet Spokesman Minister Ramesh Pathirana says he has not received a confirmation on the resignation of State Minister Nimal Lanza.
