The second consignment of relief materials provided by Tamil Nadu to the people of Sri Lanka affected by the economic crisis left the Indian shores yesterday.
Indian media reports said a ship carrying 15,000 metric tonne of essential commodities left the Tuticorin port to Colombo yesterday.
The Tamil Nadu government has promised a total aid worth over INR 1 billion, including 40,000 tonne of rice, life-saving medicines, and 500 tonne of milk powder.
The second aid consignment includes 14,712 metric tonne of rice, 250 tonne of milk powder and medicines.
