Another 219 individuals have been arrested in relation to the violence reported on the 9th of May.
Police said of the 219 persons arrested yesterday, 68 individuals were released on bail.
Police Media Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said the arrests were made in relation to 805 complaints that have been lodged.
A total of 883 persons have been arrested over the incidents that were reported across the island on the 9th thus far.
The Police in its latest update said 412 individuals have thus far been remanded while 364 persons have been released on bail after being produced before Court.
SSP Thalduwa said following requests by Police for the public to provide information pertaining to incidents on the 9th of May, 617 such reports have been received, while 475 photographs and 70 video footage were also received.
The Police Media Spokesman said the information received will be shared with investigative units.
Violence broke out with pro-Rajapaksa protesters assaulting and breaking down structures set up opposite Temple Trees.
The group then proceeded to Galle Face, where a protest site was set up for more than a month.
With the developments that erupted in Colombo, various incidents of violence were reported across the island with houses of Members of Parliament set on fire and attacked, and vehicles including buses torched.
