The Sri Lanka Private Fuel Bowser Owners Association says all fuel bowser drivers must report to work immediately as the strike has been called off.
The Association said drivers are reporting for duty as usual at present.
Speaking to NewsRadio, Secretary of the Association DV Shantha Silva said over 90 percent of drivers have reported to duty thus far.
Meanwhile, long queues have been observed at filling stations in many areas.
Many filling stations in the Colombo District have been closed since last night due to a fuel shortage while the public has been forming queues since last evening.
As of this morning, public in many areas remain in queues to purchase petrol, diesel, and kerosene.
