Actor Wilson Karunaratne, best known as an action actor, has passed away at the age of 79.
He passed away after a long bout of illness and hospitalisation.
Wilson Karunaratne, popularly known for his roles as the villain of Sinhala cinema, rose to fame as an action artist in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
Karunaratne, made his acting debut in the film Hadawath Netho, and has acted in a number of popular films such as Jeevana Ganga, Saradielge Putha, and Ko Hathuro.
The government has hired financial and legal advisers Lazard and Clifford Chance to renegotiate Sri Lanka's debts.
