855 indictments each have been filed against Former Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara and Former Secretary of Defence Hemasiri Fernando over their failure to prevent the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks.
The indictments were filed before a Trial-at-Bar.
NewsRadio Court correspondent said the 855 indictments were filed by the Attorney General.
The petition was taken up for consideration before justices Namal Balalle, Adithya Patabendige and Mohamed Izzadeen.
A case was filed against the duo by the Attorney General for failing to prevent the Easter Sunday bombings despite receiving intelligence reports pertaining to the attacks.
