A man who was assaulted and strangled in Tissamaharama last night has died upon admission to the Debarawewa Hospital.
The husband of the eldest daughter had assaulted and strangled his father-in-law due to a dispute during a wedding ceremony held at a house.
It was revealed that the suspect has fled the area.
The victim is a 54-year-old resident of Lunugamvehera.
Tissamaharama Police are conducting further investigations.
