Litro Gas Lanka Ltd. says 45,000 gas cylinders will be released to the market today.
Litro Chairman Vijitha Herath said they will be able to transport gas from the ship, to the Kerewalapitiya refinery through the buoys, only if favourable weather persists at sea.
The Chairman also pointed out that 3.5 million gas cylinders in the country remained empty at present.
Herath also noted that they have made plans to expedite the distribution of gas cylinders to citizens in the Colombo District.
