Minister of Agriculture Mahinda Amaraweera says measures have been taken under the programme to provide fuel to farmers during the 2022 Yala season to set up necessary facilities at 247 filling stations across the country.
Speaking during a discussion with members of the Agrarian Research Officers Association, Minister Amaraweera said the Agrarian Research Officers must take on the responsibility of motivating the farming community to cultivate all the paddy fields during the next Maha season.
Meanwhile, the Agriculture Ministry announced that its target is to cultivate all paddy fields in the country within the next Maha season.
