Police have arrested 37 persons who were selling fuel at a higher price yesterday.
Police have seized 814 litres of petrol and 4328 litres of diesel from their possession.
Meanwhile, police stated that the mobile phone application introduced by the police to identify vehicles coming to refuel on several occasions is currently being used at 1400 petrol stations.
Police say the application has identified about 2800 vehicles that have been refuelled on two occasions or more and 450 vehicles have been identified during the period from midnight yesterday to 2 pm today
