A 30-year-old has died in a shooting incident reported down Bastian Mawatha in Colombo.
A 27-year-old individual has also sustained injuries in the incident.
He has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.
Police said two persons on a motorcycle opened fire at the victims and had fled the scene.
The deceased was a resident of Anuradhapura.
They were in Colombo to appear in a court case.
