Private bus owners claim 25% of buses will be in operation today when curfew is temporarily lifted.
President of the Lanka Private Bus Owners Association Gemunu Wijeratne said bus operators have been advised to engage in operations as the public is severely inconvenienced and has been unable to purchase goods either owing to the curfew that was in place.
Accordingly, he said 25% of buses will be in operation during the period that curfew is lifted.
Another 219 individuals have been arrested in relation to the violence reported on the 9th of May.
