The Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval to gazette the draft of the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution.
The 22nd Constitutional Amendment received Cabinet approval on the 20th of June.
Subsequently, the Legal Draftsman drafted the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution.
The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Reforms has informed the Cabinet that the Attorney General has confirmed that the 22nd Constitutional Amendment is in line with the Constitution.
Accordingly, permission has been granted to gazette the draft and present it to Parliament for approval.
