Officers of the Sri Lanka Customs Narcotics Division have seized 1,985 narcotic pills that has been valued at Rs.20 million.
The narcotics were identified when officers of the Narcotics Division inspected nine parcels on suspicions during surveillance duty at the Central Mail Exchange.
The parcels were sent from Germany and the Netherlands to residents in Colombo and Mahiyanganaya.
However, Customs Media Spokesman Sudaththa Silva said investigations revealed that the addresses on the packages were fake.
The stock of drugs will be handed over to the Police Narcotics Division for further investigations.
