The Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval to issue a Tourist Visa, valid for 180 days for arrivals who obtain visas through the ‘Online Electronic Tourist Visa Activation System.’

Accordingly approval has been granted to issue ETA visas at special rates proposed through a Cabinet paper presented by the President.

Based on the Cabinet paper, tourists from SAARC countries  will be required to pay US$70 to obtain the 180-day tourist visa while those visiting from non-SAARC countries will be required to pay US$ 85.

Due to existing bilateral agreements with Singapore, the Maldives and Seychelles, tourists from the three countries will have to pay only US$50 for the 180-day tourist visa.
