Parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen, implicated in the case filed over the death of a 16-year-old employed as a domestic worker at his residence, has been further remanded until the 14th of October.
The order was issued by Colombo Additional Magistrate Rajindra Jayasuriya this morning.
At the previous hearing the wife and father-in-law of MP Bathiudeen were released on bail while international travel bans were imposed on the duo.
Five persons including Parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen were arrested in relation to the investigations into the death of the 16-year-old girl.
Accordingly, the wife of MP Bathiudeen, her father and the broker who brought the girl to Colombo were arrested and were subsequently released on bail.
