The Sri Lanka Navy has arrested 12 Indian fishermen and seized a trawler in the Northern seas.
The Navy said the Indian fishermen were arrested for poaching in Sri Lankan waters northeast of the Delft Island in Jaffna.
Meanwhile, another group of Indian fishermen have been prevented from entering Lankan waters this morning.
The Navy said the arrested group will be handed over to the Fisheries Inspector of Jaffna, who will take necessary legal action.
