The Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval for the proposal to provide 15kg of wheat flour to 115,867 estate worker families on a monthly basis.
The approval was granted to the Cabinet Memorandum submitted by the Minister of Finance and based on recommendations issued by a committee headed by the Minister of Trade.
The measure was taken to ease the economic issues faced by such families due to the COVID-19 crisis.
